Polly the Sad Petunia

Hello Winter. Would you like to hear a story about a pretty little flower named Polly? Ok, this story is about a little girl flower whose name is Polly.

Polly was a very pretty flower. She was pink.

Polly was sad today. Polly was sad because she sneezed all the time. The wind would blow and she would sneeze. Auchoo!!!!!  Auchoo!!!  Oh dear, she would cry. What shall I do? Flowers shouldn't sneeze.

One day a little kitty came walking by where Polly was planted. Polly sneezed really loud. Auchoo!! Well that kitty jumped really high in the air and went MEOW!! and ran away.

Polly was so sad she just didn't know what to do.

One day a pretty little girl named Winter was walking in the garden where Polly lived. Oh, Winter loved that pretty pink flower. Winter stooped over and showed her mama what a pretty flower she found. Winter said "Oh Mama, look a pretty pink flower" Her Mama smiled and said, "Oh yes, look, a pretty pink flower."

Winter looked at the flower very closely and found a tear on the flower's petal. Winter showed her Mama and then she looked sad.

Winter's Mama had an idea. 

Winter's Mama asked Winter if she would like to put the pretty pink flower in a pot with some dirt. Then she could take the pretty pink flower in the house by the window so she could see it all the time.

Winter thought that a wonderful idea. That is just what they did. Polly the pretty pink flower never sneezed again. She was happy. Winter was happy and Mama was happy too.
