Marlee Goes Fresh Water Treasure Hunting

When Grandma B and Marlee went on a road trip the other day, Marlee was listening to other people talk in the cafe. She saw someone drop food, and she heard something that was very interesting. She heard a lady say that "That little girl is just a treasure!  I guess I will go home and go swimming in my pool because it is so hot outside. Maybe someday I will find a treasure too." As the lady and her friend left, the lady smiled at Marlee and Marlee smiled back.
The lady gave Marlee something to think about. Marlee just loved to hunt for treasures. Evidently, you could hunt for treasures in your swimming pool. She had an idea!

Marlee really didn't like to get in the pool because sometimes she got water in her eyes. Yuk! Well, she would have to do it to hunt for treasures. Grandma B had a pool for her.  When they got back to Grandma B's house she got Grandma B's hand and led her to the pool. Grandma B said, "Do you want to go swimming, Marlee?" Marlee nodded her head. B was surprised because she knew that Marlee wasn't a "water baby."
Grandma B put some water in the pool but told Marlee that she would have to wait until the sun warmed up the water.
After Marlee's nap that afternoon she got to hunt for treasure. It was amazing to her all the stuff you needed just to go swimming. Daddy always insisted that she have a life jacket on.
Then mama and daddy liked to have her get wet with a hose first. They said that got her used to the water. B liked that game too. But Marlee didn't  like that game when she got water in her eyes.
Then Mama had an idea. She got Marlee a pair of water goggles to wear. They wouldn't let water in her eyes. She had told Grandma B about them, so B got Marlee a pair to wear at her house too. She was all set to go treasure hunting! Marlee hunted for treasures a long time. Look at all the treasures she found. That lady was right. You can find treasures in a swimming pool. Well, in Grandma B's swimming pool anyway.
