Bad Luck Or Elf Tricks?

Of course, Nora's friends had no idea that she was covered with mud from an explosion at the spa. They also had no idea that she had to mop up the bathroom floor because the toilet overflowed. They were not aware that instead of a hot shower she got an ice cold one. Allison had decided that she was going to have a quick bite to eat before she joined the other girls. She sure thought that the food would be a lot better. She had heard so much about cruise line food and how good it was. That was terrible! "I guess I will head down to the room and brush my teeth. I can't wait to get this horrible taste out of my mouth no matter how much water I drink."

"I'm going to take that cool outside elevator. I've always wanted to ride in one of those things. I wish the other girls were with me, but I'm sure it's safe.  Allison looked inside the elevator and it was so beautiful she could see all over the ship from inside.  On the way down she started to frown. There in the corner of the elevator was some poop; dog poop. "Oh no! How do I manage to get the worst possible food and now poop in the elevator? I didn't even know that people could bring their pets on a cruise. Oh brother, wait until I tell the girls, they just aren't going to believe my bad luck."

When Allison got to the room everyone was gone, so she quickly grabbed a tube of toothpaste and squeezed it on her toothbrush. "Oh I just do not believe this! Toothpaste all over everything. It's all over the sink and my hands. It's even all over the floor. Now I'm going to have to mop up the floor. There are holes in the tube of toothpaste. I have had it! I'm going to find the girls and see if we can't get different rooms. This needs to be reported to the manager."

Lesley had decided to go to the lounge by the fireplace. She seemed to still be cold which seemed impossible. She also wanted to meet new people and visit with them. This was such an exciting experience she didn't think that anything could ruin it for her. She was what people call an optimist. If her glass was half empty she always said it was half full. Life was good. She was on vacation!

When she got to the lounge she was told that she couldn't come in because something had happened to the fireplace. Instead of putting out heat it was blowing ice cold air. All the passengers were complaining. Someone saw her sitting on a bench outside the lounge wearing her coat. They mentioned that they had heard the fireplace was cold, not hot. Then they laughed and said that there were stockings hung by the chimney with care.....

What is going on? Who owns this cruise ship? I'm afraid there is going to be much more trouble.
