Grandmas, Marlee, And A Toy Museum

Grandma B and Grandma Lu had not been on a road trip for years and years. In fact I don't think that they ever did go on one. Most of the time the two visited in "B"'s beauty shop and at the store, but they really liked each other and were friends and lived close by each other in a small town.
The trip to the Toy Museum was over a hundred miles. Of course, they needed gas, they needed drinks, and had to set the GPS for directions. They made sure that Marlee and her mama and daddy knew where they were going. No, they didn't tell them why they were going to the Toy Museum

and what they were going to do when they got there.
They didn't know for sure themselves. They just knew that Baby Carole Anne was missing and had to get her back to the museum.
While the ladies were visiting and laughing and joking just like the old days there was something else going on in Marlee's life. She and her mama and daddy were celebrating their little girl's second birthday. The three of them were going to have a really good time. They were going to go to Kansas City to the Crown Center. They had it all planned out.  They too were laughing and joking and even Marlee belted out a few verses of  Baa baa Black Sheep. If you remember that is her specialty.

When the Grandmas went through a big town, "B" was going too fast, not wearing a seat belt and perhaps talking on her cell phone and realized that there were red lights flashing behind her. Oh, Oh. Grandma B got stopped by a policeman. I don't know how she did it, but she did not get a ticket!! I wonder if Grandma Lu gave her a scolding. About an hour later they arrived in Branson, Missouri the home of the big Toy Museum. They needed to eat something before they started the search so they stopped for a hamburger and fries.

In Kansas City, things were exciting. Marlee and her mama and daddy visited an aquarium. They saw lots of fish and pretty rocks and plants. They got to go in a little train and see all around them like they were under water too. Wouldn't that be fun? Pretty soon they, too, were getting hungry so they stopped to eat about the same time that the Grandmas stopped to eat.
Marlee ate a yummy meal and topped it off with ice cream.
About the time that the Grandmas were going into the Toy Museum Marlee started to not feel just right.
Oh Marlee, don't get sick on your birthday!
Have you ever been sick? Have you ever had a temperature? What did your mama do for you? Lots of questions and lots of answers.
Next time let's see what those Grandmas are up to at the Toy Museum.
