When Marlee laid down for her nap, Grandma B didn't realize that Marlee had taken a picture out of her old photo album to bed with her. She had reached for her doll which she calls Baby, but before she could find it she had fallen asleep with that old photo in her hand. It was strange that Marlee didn't put up a fuss because Baby was with her when she ate, when she colored, and most all of the time on her adventures. Sure, she was almost two, however, she still loved Baby and expected her to be with her most of the time.
You need to understand that Marlee had more than one baby. For the most part she called them all the same name. She had one that was big and one that was smaller. She even had one that was soft and cuddly. She sometimes took that one in the Ranger.
She had a baby when she watched television. She had her baby when she was just hangin' out.
Marlee had lots of stuffed animals and toys, but her baby doll was the most important to her. She was maybe just a little more important than hunting for treasures.
When Marlee woke up from her nap she saw the picture laying in her covers that she had brought with her. Remember, the picture that was in Grandma B's Photo Book? Marlee picked up the photo and something very strange happened. She felt like she was traveling through the air. Marlee was being transported to another time and place. A very very wonderful place. The Wild wild west!

The dressed up doll belonged to Carole Anne Rogers. It is 74 years old. It is called Baby Carole Anne
Carole Anne Rogers would be over the moon to see her doll in this story. She was my very best friend and left her to me upon her death. Her father gave her this doll when she was 6 months old. She loved mysteries, oh she would be glued to the computer this week! lol
