The Old Photo Book

Boy, it was so nice to get back to normal after a hostage situation at the Mini Farm and then Gold Prospectin'. Everybody was ready to sit and relax. Marlee especially wanted to just go to her Grandma B's house and play with her toys. She had gotten a really neat  Lil People Barn for Christmas last year. Marlee discovered she now had time to play with it. No adventures this week! She didn't even want to hunt for treasures this week. She was just plain tired.
 You think Marlee was tired? Just think about Stashia and Zoe. They didn't even bark at the squirrels and rabbits. The porch was quiet when Marlee took a nap and they just enjoyed the cool floor or outside laying on the cool grass;  peace and quiet.
 Grandma B was thinking it was almost time for fall housekeeping. Many ladies like to clean closets, and dresser drawers to get rid of all kinds of things that they don't need any more. They throw away things that are broken and things that are old and dirty. They also sort things into piles of clothes that are either too small, or torn or had spills on the old shirts and pants. They had a keep pile, a throw away pile and a pile that could be given to other people to use if they were nice and clean.
Things that could be given away went into a storage bag and put out by the back door.
This was a perfect time to get started on this because Marlee was so happy playing out on the porch. She loved her Lil People Barn. It had lots of pieces and lots of doors to open and close. It had wheels too. It had little people, animals and wheels and a bell. Marlee's imagination started up on high once again.

Marlee was tired of playing out on the porch so she went to find her Grandma B. She found her on her bedroom floor looking at an old book that was full of pictures. She had found it in a trunk that she was sorting out. Of course, being a curious little girl she wanted to know what her B was looking at. Grandma B explained to her that these were very old old pictures of some of her family. Since they were pictures of her Grandma B's family, that meant that they were also Marlee's family. Some of the pictures were of Grandma Lu's family and lots of pictures were of old old friends.
In Marlee's last adventure she learned just how important family and friends were.
This was a pretty fun book. Oh, it had people in those pictures that dressed different than she did. There were pictures of people riding horses. There were pictures of little girls with dolls.  There were all kinds of pictures. She looked at the book for awhile then asked her B if she could take a nap. And she did......
