Marlee Tests Out New Places For Good Recipes

Marlee had had her first One More Bite Cooking School show. It had gone off without a hitch. It was a learning experience; however. She had thought that adding some gummy bears to Grandma B's banana bread recipe would be a nice touch; it was not.

Like all good cooks she decided that she would go on a "scout for good food" mission. In other words she asked to go out to eat at several different cafes. She had decided along with all the cookbooks that her mama and grandmothers had that she wanted to see how the professional cooks seasoned their food. Marlee also wanted to see how they put food on the plates for their customers. She heard Grandma B say one time that food should look nice on your plate. It just seemed to taste better when it was.
Grandma B took her to a cafe that had only brown napkins on the table. She was not satisfied with the way they went with her food. She thought that the place mat that she was given would have been a better choice. That way she could color it any color she wanted and really didn't need a napkin.
Okay, now let's talk about chicken legs. Marlee loved the chicken at this cafe so she decided that even though they didn't have pretty napkins and the food wasn't pretty on the plate, she would make chicken on her One More Bite cooking school.
Grandma B always told her that chicken in soup was good for her. She liked soup when she had a cold. Marlee didn't think that she could make soup on her cooking show though because she just wasn't big enough to do all of the cleaning and chopping and stuff that her Grandma B did. It seemed like it took her forever to just make a pot of soup!
For dinner that evening Grandma B made corn on the cob. Bingo!! Marlee decided then and there that she would make chicken and corn on the cob for her next cooking school.

I think we all know Marlee well enough now to know that she is two years old. Marlee was looking for a "kid friendly" cafe also. She wanted to be able to take her "baby doll" with her. She had heard there was one in a little town not far from the Mini Farm. We shall see if Grandma B and Marlee would check that out sometime soon.
Marlee had eaten at two (2) cafes today. She was getting really tired, but she had work to do when she got back. She had to make some notes on the different ideas that she had gotten and she also had something really really important to do.
Since Marlee had been so busy opening up Marleewood and making new friends she had forgotten an old friend. She was a friend that always had her back when she decided to go on some wild adventures. She had secret conversations with her; she kept her secrets. and tried her best to give her good advice. Sometimes Marlee's adventures got her friend in trouble with "B".
She so missed Stashia and she would tell her so. Even when you are busy with new things you must never leave your good friends behind. Keep in touch, tell them how much you love them, and when you can, give them a hug.
I think that Marlee and Stashia need some "best friends forever time."
