The First Santa To Visit Marleewood Is A Very Special One

Santa Claus.  He most generally wears a red suit and black shiny boots. His beard is white, and his glasses are either gold or silver and very small. His hat is red with a white band of white around his head. It has a white ball or pom pom on the end of it sometimes. It is a long hat that hangs down to the back of his neck. His hat and the sleeves on his suit have green Christmas wreaths with red bows.
His suit is very soft and so is his hat. His boots are kind of slippery feeling and smooth. There are no bumps on them except on the very bottom. That is so when Santa walks on the ice and snow those bumps keep him from falling down.
Santa's face is fairly round, but wait, it has soft feeling hair on it. It is called a beard. He also has soft hair on his upper lip. It is called a mustache. He has soft lips which curve almost constantly in a smile. He is a happy man and loves little children. He sometimes visits children that cannot see. He also at times visits children that can not understand that Santa Claus puts gifts under their Christmas trees.
What they do understand is, that the Santa whom is going to visit Marleewood today doesn't need a place to sit down.  He will sit down on the floor to visit with Matthew. Matthew doesn't have a wish for a gift. All he wants from his Santa is a drink of water. He wants to share some time with this soft, very nice man that wears soft furry clothes. Santa, I would think would grant that wish.  But mostly Santa will give him the gift that is most precious; time. Time is what Matthew's wish is, though he really doesn't know it, but like I've said before, Santa knows our wishes without writing him letters.
Matthew is six (6) years old and has Autism and is blind. His inability to see  is made much easier by feeling and touching.
This special Santa takes his gentle gloved hands and guides Matthews hands so that he can "see" or feel his face. Today, he is not wearing any glasses.
His mother explains colors to Matthew in her special way. He may or may not understand her words, however, he understands her perfect
kindness and love for him.
Marlee and her friends have been learning lessons of friendship and kindness in these stories. These lessons have an end result; kind and understanding adults like this Santa.
What a perfect world this would be if everyone was as  kind and gentle as Matthew's Santa Claus.
Merry Christmas, Matthew, from Marlee and all of her friends and family!
Thank you to Matthew's mother for sharing his pictures and story with us.  Matthew's world of darkness is made brighter by love and kindness.

    1. Due to some misspelling I had to delete my first comment. Matthew's mother is Misty Wolf. She has given me permission to tell Matthew's first visit with Santa to fit into our Marlee's imaginary Marleewood. Go to her Facebook time line and read the complete story of Matthew's first visit with a very special Santa.
