Cleaning And Decorating Marleewood Part 1: Naps Are Needed

The last party at Marleewood was crazy fun. Have you ever had so much fun that you were just so tired you could hardly wait to take a nap? Well, that happened to some of Marlee's friends including Marlee. All it takes to be sleepy is a lot of fresh air, playing with friends and cake!
Charlie and Moses laid down for a nap as soon as they got home. Marlee laid down at her Grandma B's house. Sadie and Sybil thought that was a good idea too. There were too many pets at Marleewood for them.  Ty fell asleep as soon as he sat down on the couch. He had kittens curled up next to him too. Jax went home but was soon settled down with a blanket and a comfy couch. Penuche, however, smelled cookie dough and went scurrying out to the kitchen in hopes that Ginny's Great Aunt Diane just might acccidently drop a little bit. She did that sometimes accidentally on purpose.
Addie was totally exhausted and fell asleep in the backseat of the car. She couldn't remember having such a good time!
Emma fell asleep on her mama's shoulder. She had had so much fun too.
Grandma B was tired too, but she knew that Marleewood was pretty much a muddy mess after the thunderstorm the day of the party. She and some other grandmas were going to help clean up and get Marleewood ready for friends and family to come and have a good time.
The plan was to open a beauty shop in Marleewood. Already there had been volunteers to do hair there once the shop was set up. It would take a crew of helpers to put in a sink, and dryer chair. There were many things needed to get it ready for folks.
Grandma B had an idea about putting up some new pictures. She was thinking a lot about what Marlee calls the Olden Days and thought that Marleewood should show folks the proud history of Humansville on the walls for everyone to enjoy. There were so many pictures that had been found. They would look great along with some flowers and something new she had been accumulating at home. She had a knack for decorating. She just needed to decide where to put all of the memorabilia that had been found by Grandma Lu and Bon Bon. They had found a lot of things in that old trunk. It was a treasure, that's for sure.
After a cup of coffee and as soon as Marlee woke up she would be more than ready to get started. This was the fun part of being part of Marleewood. Preserving that old building and making it look beautiful and fun for all of their friends and family to enjoy was her mission this week.
