The Children And Moss Are Lost

It was hard to see where she was going through her tears. Moss was so sad. It just seemed like she couldn't do anything right lately. She really wanted her Jr. Wish Wings. She so much wanted to live close by her friends in the Sunflower Patch too. "But right now, I don't matter. I have to find those two (2) sweet little girls. They made a wish to live in a tree house and I messed it up. I can't imagine where they landed. I feel just terrible. I won't stop looking until I find them."
Meanwhile the mean old Wish Nymph whose name was Wilameana, was sitting up in a tree watching every move that Moss made. She chuckled to herself with a mean sounding cackle. "That silly girl is walking in circles. I've got her so mixed up she will never get over this. Ha! Ha! Then I will have control of the Sunflower Patch myself. I will kick all of those other little wood nymphs out of there. I deserve the best place to live in the forest. From now on if I hear anyone making a wish especially children, I will not grant it. I have had it with this job. It is time for me to take it easy from now on."
The little birds and squirrels and bunny rabbits did not like Wilameana. She had always been mean. They were very quiet and watched and waited to see if they could help Moss. She was their friend and they would do anything they could for her. Even the tiny little ants were making a strong stand against the old wood nymph. They were called Army Ants. They were tiny, but strong. They would help if they could. When Army Ants are called on they walk single file through all kinds of rough and scary places. All Moss had to do was ask for help. Do you think she will ask for help? Sometimes that is so very difficult for folks to do isn't it?
                                                       *******************
Grandma B knew exactly where Grandma Lu's black purse was. It was at a friend's house that she had seen not too long ago at the Marleewood parking lot. Her granddaughters were playing on the bikes that they had just learned to ride.
She found their nana's phone number and gave her a call. She said, 'Hi, this is Grandma B do you happen to have Grandma Lu's purse?"
Nana said, "Why on earth would you think that I have it? What's going on?"
Grandma B chuckled and said, "Well, her husband accidentally took it along with two other black bags to the Thrift Shop. They sold it. It has Marlee's golden egg in it and also Grandma Lu's cell phone. I'm just sure of it."
"Oh my goodness. I went to a thrift store the other day. I did buy a black bag that looked similar to Grandma Lu's. I even thought about that. You know, I think the little girls were playing with it in the dress up closet. Let me go check and I will call you back."
So that's exactly what Nana did. There it was. The golden egg and the cell phone were laying beside the black bag on the floor. The battery was very low, but it was still working. She picked them up and called Grandma B back.
"You were right. That's exactly what I did. I have everything right here. I am coming in to town this afternoon. Would it be okay if I stopped by Marleewood and dropped it off? The girls will be disappointed, but I will get them a different purse to play dress up with."
Now Marlee can have her golden egg back and Grandma Lu can have her purse and cell phone back.
Everything should be okay now, right? Hopefully, Marlee will once more be happy with her golden egg.

  1. I had a friend a long long time ago that said, "You need friends of all walks of life and shapes and sizes. They will always have your back. I think this is what may happen in this story. "He has his eye on the sparrow".....
