"Whoa! Slow down, Little One, I can't write as fast as you are talking. Okay, now what do you want me to write again? You want Prince Charming and Freddie to become friends. Okay, you and Grandma B find me some pictures. I will turn the page and start writing this while you are looking," said Grandma Lu.
"Here is an old picture of when she was just a kid. Do you want to use this one?", asked Marlee. "We probably should have put that one in sooner. What do you think? Shall we use it or throw it away?" Both Grandmas said, "No! Don't throw it away!" and then they laughed. It was time for a break. They had been working for about an hour. All three of them were getting silly.
Grandma B had started to decorate some cookies, but the two snackers said, "That's good enough. Let's eat them now. We are hungry from working hard."
Marlee was anxious to get back to the Scrapbook. So they went back into the Community Room. Grandma Lu started writing and had not told Marlee what she was writing about. Marlee didn't like that and told Grandma Lu that she needed to tell her what she was writing. "Well, Grandma Lu said, I am writing the part where Prince Charming goes to visit Freddie. We don't have any pictures of him where he isn't made out of rocks, do we?"

If you listened very carefully you could hear Grandma B chuckle quietly, "Not in this lifetime, Marlee girl. Nope, not in this lifetime."
Cutting pictures out from magazines is a wonderful way to teach very young children how to scrapbook and tell a story. Oh, the memories!
