Marlee Sold Their Goat For Magic Beans

Because Marleewood's new Quiet Room wasn't quit finished, Marlee had taken the Jack And The Beanstalk book to a quiet corner in the Day Care. She had found a nice soft bed with lots of pillows to read the newly donated book. She had fallen asleep soon after she finished it. She wasn't able to read the words, but she knew by looking at the pictures that Jack and his mama were very poor. It seemed to Marlee that his mama wanted Jack to sell their cow because it quit giving them milk. Their cow had decided that she would rather go swimming than be milked every day. Jack's mama's little red and white polka dot purse was completely empty; and they had no food.

 That was not good because Jack and his mama sold the milk every day in town. They used the money to buy food with. The cow's milk also gave them milk and cheese to eat too.  Jack told his mama that he would get a job, but she said no one would hire him because he was too young.

Marlee grinned in her sleep. She knew what she would do. She would have talked her mama into getting a goat. Her Grandma B had a goat once. He was little but he had head butted her all the time. They gave him away, but they got a bigger goat. Her baby sister had to drink goat's milk so they needed to have a goat.. See she could have told a better story. She rolled over and snuggled into her pillows..

Marlee decided that she would take Jack's place in the book. So in her dream, she took the goat into town to sell it. On the way she met a friend of hers, Arieanna. She was walking into town too. She asked Marlee why she was taking her goat to town. Marlee said, "Well she quit giving milk so now we don't have any milk and cheese to eat. Mama said I have to sell it and she will start a new business with the money that I get for her."

Arieanna and Marlee were talking and giggling when along came Jax. He said, "Hey, little girls where are you going?" Arieanna said, "Well Marlee has to sell her goat to get some money, because they don't have any food." Jax grinned and  said, "Well, I have some magic beans. If you give me your goat, I will give you these magic beans and you will be very rich. You will have a beautiful house and all the food that you and your mama can eat until you are very old."

Marlee said, "Do you think I'm going to fall for that? Beans aren't magic, I know because I help  my Grandma B plant beans in her garden."
Jax said, "Oh no, these aren't plain old garden beans, these are magic. Mark my words, you will be rich if you plant these beans."
So Marlee took the magic beans and went home to her mama.
