The Rain Didn't Stop Marlee's Fun

Marlee and Grandma B had gone out to eat with Grandma Lu and Mrs. Joann. They were celebrating Mrs. Joann's birthday a few days early. They had good food, presents, and most of all lots of laughing and good conversation. They don't get together very often so when they do they have lots of things to talk about.
Mrs. Joann had given Marlee a very old doll of hers. She wanted Marlee to take very good care of it and keep it for many years. She called that doll a keepsake. That means when Marlee looks at it she will always remember her and the fun times they had.

Marlee was such a good girl and told her thank you so much. She loved her new doll on sight and gave it a big hug and gentle pats.

That day it was raining and raining. But Marlee and Grandma Lu weren't afraid. Grandma Lu said, "Come on, Marlee, I have an umbrella, you want to go outside with me?" And so they did and had lots of fun.
Marlee got the bottom of her pants wet from jumping in the puddles, but she didn't care. It was so much fun!

When they walked back into the restaurant they decided that they would play and have fun. Grandma Lu had an extra pair of sunglasses and gave them to Marlee. She loved being silly. It was a great day for fun and being goofy. Marlee found a pumpkin and decided to sit down and have fun with the grandmas.

When they got back to the table it was time for birthday cupcakes. It was Grandma B's turn to be silly. She had a blue tongue!

When it finally stopped raining they gathered up their things to take them to the car. Marlee heard Grandma Lu say, "Marlee is so beautiful she should be in Hollywood."
