The Letter

Marlee had loved her Elf on the Shelf both at her house and at her Grandma B's house. The elf at Grandma B's house was named Peanut. Peanut was constantly on the move at Christmas time. He would be in the kitchen, then in the living room. Sometimes he would be in the little tree in B's living room. He was always up to some mischief, but Marlee loved him. Peanut was a loyal elf to Santa however, and decided that he had better go back to work even though the other elves were on vacation.
Before Peanut went back to the North Pole he wanted to go to Whitlee's birthday party. They had taken his favorite tree that had been in Grandma B's living room to the party.

It was just the perfect place for him to see what was going on. "Boy this is a great party! There are lots of people here for that little girl's first birthday party. I wonder what I can get into to make it a little bit more fun though. Hmm...

No one saw him watching the party. He was a mischievous little elf and loved flitting all over the place. But he realized it really was time for him to go back to work. Vacations were nice, but Santa needed his help. So he just quickly spread a little magic dust on Whitlee's cupcakes, grinned to himself, and away he went.

Marlee came out to the kitchen one day at Grandma B's house shortly after Whitlee's party all upset. "Where is Peanut, B? I can't find him anywhere! I have looked and looked in the living room. I have looked in my playroom and I have looked in your kitchen. I am so sad. I think I am going to puke!"
Grandma B said, "I have no idea where he could be. Why don't you go in the other room and ask your Papa if he has seen him."
So Marlee did just that. She told her Papa she was so sad. She wanted to see Peanut again. He told her that he hadn't seen him either. Soon Marlee and Papa heard Grandma B call them. She said, "Come out to the living room. I found something for you, Marlee. It is a letter from Peanut just for you."
Marlee picked up the paper and handed it to her Grandma B to read to her. It was so pretty. It was all decorated on Christmas paper. This is what the letter said:

Marlee listened to her Grandma B as she read the letter. She smiled and said, "He really is going to come back next year?" Grandma B said, "Well, that's what he said. Santa needs him at the workshop right now, though."

Marlee was a bit sad, however, but soon she decided that Peanut would be coming back. She loved him and all the fun things he did while she was sleeping.

What Grandma B and Marlee didn't know was that Peanut had decided on a quick vacation to the Enchanted forest, but ended up on a cruise ship with his friends.
Oh dear, I wonder what those elves will do on the cruise ship? Hopefully they will be good little elves because Nora and her friends deserve a nice relaxing vacation. No shenanigans, Peanut and Elsa! Actually, Peanut and Elsa may not be the only problem on board their cruise ship. There are many things that could and probably will go wrong.

  1. This story is partially true. Marlee's gma packed the elf with her Christmas decorations and Marlee did look and look and said she was going to puke. lol And she did get a letter from Peanut as the story goes...
