Baxter Goes On Vacation

"Oh dear, oh dear," Baxter thought, " I almost got into trouble there for a minute."
Baxter was a little bunny rabbit that lived at Grandma Lu's house with his brother, Mr. Brown.
Baxter had gotten tired of seeing the same old things day after day. He told Mr. Brown he was going to go on vacation to see the world.
Mr. Brown told him to be careful because there were dogs and little girls and boys and big people too!

Mr. Brown told Baxter that living at Grandma Lu's house was wonderful. She was a nice lady and had lots of food to eat in her garden that she shared with him and his family.
Baxter didn't care. He wiggled his whiskers and said goodbye to Mr. Brown and hopped off.

Baxter hopped and hopped. Oh, he had gone a long ways from home.
All of a sudden Baxter heard something. Scrunch, scrunch, snap and snap! Somebody was close. That somebody was a little girl.

"Oh dear, oh dear, Mr. Brown was right it was scary away from home when you are little" Baxter thought.
Baxter got quiet like a mouse and sat very very still.
What do you think Baxter saw?
It was one of those things Mr. Brown told him about. It was a little girl. She almost stepped on him with her big boots on.
And dogs; two (2) dogs. There were two (2) big dogs. Dogs like to chase rabbits.
"Oh dear, oh dear, what shall I do? He decided to just wait to see what happened.
He couldn't believe it! The dogs went back to the house and so did that little girl and her grandma lady.
"Whew, that was a close one," Baxter thought. I had better be careful on my vacation. Mr. Brown was right."
Baxter was getting hungry, what should he do?
