Mama Rabbit Looks For Baxter

Mama Rabbit hopped up and down and all around. She was looking for her little boy rabbit, Baxter.
Mr. Brown told Mama Rabbit that Baxter had gone on vacation.
Mama Rabbit was not happy. She missed her little boy rabbit. She wiggled her nose and her whiskers. She could not find her little boy rabbit.
Mr. Brown asked Mama Rabbit if she remembered when he had gone on vacation. Mama Rabbit did remember. She had hopped all over Grandma Lu's garden looking for him.
Mr. Brown flopped his ears remembering what had happened to him when he went on vacation. He had seen a little dog and a big dog.
Those dogs had barked and barked at him. He had gotten scared until he found out that those dogs could not get out of a fence that the farmer had them in.
Then there was a man on a lawn mower. It made a lot of noise! He got scared and hopped away and sat in some grass and watched to see what was going to happen.
Oh no, there was a man on a lawn mower and it made a really loud noise.

Then the farmer got a whole bunch of company! There were big people and short people. They had old people and young people. There were a lot of people. The short people played with a big ball and ran and ran and ran.
The dogs got tired and went in the house. The farmer had a thing he called a camper. It was a good place to hide under.
That was when Mr. Brown decided to go home to Grandma Lu's. She was a nice lady and it was quiet, and she let him eat vegetables from her garden.
He remembered when he finally got back home. Oh it was wonderful. He knew Baxter would come back home soon.
