Marlee Finds A Clue

Marlee had been on so many adventures this one was a snap. She knew what to look for and what to do without. She continued through high ground and came into a flat land. It was hot and dusty. She kept herself busy taking her sweat shirt off and on. She now took it off and was beginning to get a bit tired of this adventure or whatever it was. If she was dreaming she wished that she would find her baby and wake up. She was getting hungry especially thirsty in her dream.
All of a sudden she heard music and people laughing and talking loud. There across the road was an old building. She looked through the window and she could not believe it! There was her grandma! She was all dressed up funny! Not only that, but she was with Alexis and she was dressed up funny too. Well, she was not having that. She just marched right in those swinging doors to find out that they could not see her. They didn't talk to her or hug her or any of the normal things that always happened when she walked into a room. It was the same thing that it was when she walked up to Uncle B and Nana; nothing.

Marlee looked around this old place. There on the wall was a Wanted Poster. The law wanted her Grandma B's brother and his wife. What was she going to do? How was she going to tell her Grandma B? She decided to leave that place because she just knew that this was not the place for little girls. She had to continue on her hunt for her missing Baby doll. This time she went out the back door. Way down at the end of the road was an old old house. It was freezing cold outside. Marlee once again put her sweatshirt back on. Oh that house was so old and and lonely looking. It didn't look like anyone had lived there for a long time. Once again, Marlee walked right up and looked in the old window. She couldn't see much inside because it was getting cloudy outside. She decided it was alright to open the door since no one lived there any more.
When she walked in she saw an old dresser. An oil lamp sitting on it and a little piece of paper. It was a map! As Marlee reached for the map the little phonographs started to play music. They were both playing the same song, "Hello Dolly."

  1. As Marlee gets older she will never be surprised what antics her grandma gets into. The old adage...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. lol
