"What is your name and why are you in my dream?, asked Marlee. The dog told Marlee that his name was Smokey and I am here to help you find your doll."
Marlee thought that was kind of a mean thing to say and she told him so. He just laughed at her. He said, "Well, Grandma Lu thought that I should help you, but that's ok, I think I will just go outside and take a nap myself."
Marlee only took about two seconds to think about it. "Yes, yes, I want you to help. Grandma Lu is my Grandma B's friend. If she says its ok, it's ok."
Smokey said, "Alright let's get to it then. Did you bring the map?"
Marlee had been so amused she forgot about the map. She got it out of her back pocket and showed it to Smokey.

So they climbed the stairs slowly. They did hear people talking. First they saw a man and a lady all dressed up funny. They looked just like the pictures in Grandma B's photo book. Then there was a lady that looked familiar, but she just couldn't remember who Grandma B said who she was. Grandma B knows her though.

Look inside the closet, Marlee." It was dark and dusty in there, but clear in the back she saw a little trunk. Much smaller than her Grandma B's big one. She crawled in there on her hands and knees and pulled the little trunk out and there was Baby. Baby Carole Anne from the photo book.
*********
Well, now Smokey and Marlee are going to have to figure out how to get the beautiful Carole Anne Baby out of that house and back to Grandma B's house. That will take some doing because both of them are very short. How do you think they will get this done. And how will Marlee get back to Grandma B's house. Will Smokey go with her? Or is he just a picture too.....
Smokey was a real dog and extremely smart. He belonged to Charles Aubin which is Marie Lizotte's brother. He lived to be 15 years old and traveled the world with his family. He is now traveling the internet along with Marlee.
