The Sign Is Up But No Grandma Lu

Marlee and Grandma B were actually excited to get back to Marleewood and some hard work today. Charlie had ordered some things for the Holiday Shop for Valentines Day shoppers. They needed to talk to Charlie to see just what she had ordered and how much. They had not had any income since Christmas actually. The Photography Studio had not been open since then either.
Marlee had had a new job this winter filling Grandma  B's bird feeders. She loved to watch the cardinals that came to eat at the feeders and also sit on some of the lawn statues that were close to the porch.


When they got to Marleewood they were pleasantly surprised. The snow had melted a lot. Someone had shoveled the sidewalks too! How wonderful it was to get back in the routine again. Marlee just could hardly wait to see her friends. She knew that Grandma B had called Grandma Lu and some of Marlee's friends, grandmas, and moms and dads. She hoped against hope that some of her friends would come in today.
 Grandma B had some leftover cupcakes that she and Marlee had made for her Uncle B so they were set for snacks. She smiled at her "B" when they got in the door and said, "Okay, "B" you can put the sign up now!" And so she did.
It was within just a few minutes that people started coming in the door. They wanted to visit and see how everyone was after the big snow storm. Soon the coffee was poured and the snacks were set on the table. Everything was normal except one thing; no Grandma Lu. Where could she be? Surely she would come wouldn't she? Oh oh. I see a picture of Grandma Lu. I think that she may have a new hobby. An exercise center? Hopefully she will just be a little late and show up soon to tell us a story like she promised.
