Easter Egg Hunts And Kind Decisions

The Marleewood children had decided to meet at Marleewood in the morning before they went on their Easter egg hunts. They still had things to decide for Grandma Lu's party. After little discussion it was decided that Addison's birthday party would be combined with their Easter egg hunts. They would meet back at Marleewood at the end of the day. They were so excited. For some of the children it was the first Easter egg hunt that they could remember. Marlee was one of those children.

Addison was excited to share her birthday party with Grandma Lu. She quickly asked her parents and grandmother if having her party at Marleewood would be okay. They all agreed that would be fun.
Addison had helped make doughnuts for her party too, remember? She is getting so big! She has something special to tell Grandma Lu. Hmm, I wonder what that could be.
Grandma Lu came outside and was so tickled. She saw that the Easter bunny had hidden eggs in the trees for Addison. Oh how she did smile! "Oh oh, Addison spilled her basket. How cute she looks. She has rabbit ears on. How much fun is this on a beautiful day. Thanks for sharing your fun day with me, Addison!"
Addison said, "You are so welcome I will be back to have a treat with you that I made myself." Grandma Lu waved and smiled. It was such a happy day.

Grandma Lu didn't know it, but the children had decided that they would share some of the eggs they gathered with her as table decorations if they got pretty ones. Such good children. Jaxson and Nova Jo had so much fun. It was their very first time to hunt Easter eggs with their grandmother. How wonderful!
Addie was so lucky. She got to go on two (2) egg hunts. One with her Big Daddy (grandfather) and one at the park.
Marlee got to go to four (4) Easter egg hunts. One at the park, and one at Northwood Hills Care Center. She had such a good two (2) or three (3) days. She hunted eggs at Grandma B's house. Ranger Rex was having a good time helping her. Marlee also hunted eggs at her other grandmother's, Lollie. Marlee had a good chance of getting something to share with Grandma Lu didn't she? Marlee knew that it was up to her because her baby sister, Whitlee Jo was too little to go with her. Maybe next year they could go together. Marlee decided that she would help her.
Grayson had fun too. He was so lucky. He got to go to more than one Easter egg hunt too.
Ryan and Andy had fun looking for eggs. Their mama and daddy had a special surprise for Grandma Lu. How interesting I wonder what that could be.
Orion couldn't come, but he had his grandma send a picture that his friends at Marleewood will put in the photo album for him.
Emma had an Easter egg hunt at her granddad's and her mana's house. She had such a good time.
Kaysyn's mama also had something in mind to surprise Grandma Lu with.
Kanyon wants to wish Grandma Lu Happy Easter too. He is getting to be a big boy. His mama had already talked to Grandma B. They were going to have his party at Marleewood also.
Oh my land! Look who went to the park! Ranger Rex can't hunt for Easter eggs, but he sure is popular with everyone, isn't he? He also is quite interested in what Marlee has in her Easter basket. How cute is he? Lexie sure likes him doesn't she?
And just think of all the birthday parties they were going to have at Marleewood. I sure hope that Grandma Lu has her housework all done because she is going to be a special guest at Marleewood all week.

  1. Young children learn what they hear and see. I remember this lesson well when my daughter was just 18 months old. I had to have a serious conversation with a family member. Language, kindness, and giving to others is learned. Thanks for reading.

  2. I learned some things at the easter egg hunts. The children had far better manners the the adults. With having Rex there every child smiled and asked permission to pet him. The little ones took turns sharing while hunting the eggs. The people from the church did an experiment by asking several children if she could have one of the eggs they found. Only one gave her an egg. He was rewarded with 20.00 for sharing. That was a good example of sharing. Thanks lu glad your feeling better and thanks for all the wonderful pictures of the fun the children had.
