Noah Sounds The Alarm

People young and old had started to gather at the Marleewood parking lot. There were sacks of snacks and drinks gotten together. There was a kind of energy in the air that goes along with a common goal of a group of people on a mission. Their mission was to rescue Kylee and Kenlee as quickly as possible. They figured that if they stayed together and called out to them the rescue shouldn't take too long. Little did they know that there was a mean old wood nymph that was sitting high up in the trees that was determined that the Marleewood friends would fail. She had plans for these two silly little girls. They would remain in the forest and do as she told them to. She wouldn't have to work again in her old age. They would do her bidding or she would know the reason why.
Noah was ringing the bell at the old church and school house that was close to the Marleewood parking lot. When people heard the bell ring they knew it was an emergency. It wasn't used anymore except for that.
After a reasonable length of time the group started on the road that led to the forest. The first thing they saw was an old tumble down barn. They thought that the girls just might have fallen asleep in there so they searched, but found out soon that they were not in there.
There was an eagle high in the treetop that was watching all of the humans come into the forest. He had very sharp eyesight. He knew what the old nymph was up
to and he also knew where the little girls were. They were safe for the moment, but he decided that he would help Moss if it was necessary.
Emma and her grandfather were running to catch up to the group. They wanted to help too.
Cooper and his grandfather were late so they had to hurry. They had a big truck. Hopefully they could make it to Marleewood in time to help. He and Marlee and the girls had been friends for a very long time. In fact he and Sawyer had gotten Marleewood up to snuff for all the inspections that were needed to get it open for business. There was no question that they would be there as soon as they could.

Arieanna was not staying with the group. She thought she knew just where the girls were. She was telling her mama, "Come on over here. There are trees that I can climb so I can see better."
She was cautioned not to stray away from the group, but she was determined that she would find the girls and bring them home to safety. She just knew it!

The first rule of safety is what? To stay together. Grownups call that the "buddy system." We don't need anyone else to get lost. Aha, there is Arie's me'me at the tree too. Good all are safe.
Little Nick is ready to go if he could just get his mama to get ready quicker. He has the car keys. He wants to help too.
Hopefully, they will find the girls soon before Wilameana gets to them.

  1. The lesson for today is the Buddy System. It is important for children and grownups alike to go places with others whenever possible. Rescues are much easier that way. Grandma Lu will tell a story of a rescue later on in this series.

  2. Staying together is the best way to search even if it is a bunch of grownups .

  3. I went on a search and rescue with the Red Cross. There was a command center, food and drinks, and lots of people even on horse back. The search lasted 3 days It was amazing being a part of the effort.
