Grandma Lu Saw An Outdoor Wedding

Grandma Lu couldn't sing very well, but she was singing at the top of her lungs. "Oh I love being on an adventure. This is going to be such fun. She had driven about four or five hours. Her map directions took her through a park. She couldn't believe it. There was a wedding going on. They were getting married on horseback. "Oh I have to stop and watch. I didn't even bring a hat. Drat. Well, I will stay out of the way. Oh I wish Fran had come along. He would have loved to have seen this too."

When the wedding was over she pulled out of her parking spot and got back on the road again. She started thinking about the pirate parade she was going to. She started to laugh again. She remembered the story time that she had had at the county library for the littles and their grownups. "Aye, matey that was a fine time fer sure!" Then she laughed again. Her husband had helped her find her things for her costume and they had had a fun time together. "He sure should have come with me on this trip."
After a few hours she began to feel the need to stretch her legs and eat a sandwich that she had brought along. She spotted a beautiful playground and park that would just be perfect for her little picnic."
She was having a good time watching the children play and ride their bikes and little cars. However, she missed Marleewood and her little friends.

"I wonder what Marlee is doing today? I miss that little lady. She is probably missing her Grandma B. too. That's okay. She needs to learn that grownups have to do things without their little ones sometimes. Well I guess it is time to get back on the road. I am about half way there. I can't wait to see the pirates!"

  1. I love to stop at parks when we travel. You get to see such wonderful things and activities. Memory maker trips is what I call them.
