You Never Know Who You'll Meet At A Campground

There was one thing that Marlee had forgotten and it was a really important thing; the battery for her Barbie camper. It seems that Marlee is going a little slower than when she first started out. She was starting to worry, but was soon smiling. Up ahead was the campground that she had been counting on. Surely there would be a battery charging station there. They did that for cars so they must do it for campers too. It was starting to get late in the afternoon because she had stayed playing in the rain with her friends too long. So Marlee decided to spend the rest of the day and night at the campground.

Marlee had found a place to park close to the charging pole. It was a good thing because her microwave didn't work. She discovered that she had to  make a campfire because her stove also ran from her battery. It was so wonderful that her Grandma B had taught her how to make a campfire and knew a good recipe for leaf stew.

As she was stirring it over her campfire she heard a car driving up. She couldn't believe her eyes! There were her two cousins, Rolland and Henry. They said they were going camping too! Only they were going to sleep in a tent. Oh they were going to have such a fun time with their daddy.

Traveling close by the campground there was a beautiful young woman on her way to Colorado. She was working undercover as a private investigator. It seems that there had been a ring of trash can thieves working their way out west. She was bound and determined to put a stop to it. It would be a real feather in her new straw hat if she caught the ring leader. Grandma Lu was paying her well to see if she could find her stimulus check. She just had a feeling it was in the trash can at Marleewood when the thief took it. Hopefully the check was the only thing that had been thrown away...
