Grandma Lu had seen so many wonderful things on her way to Florida. She was getting really excited because she had just seen the most beautiful horse. It was called a Clydesdale. She had stopped for a drink on a country road and he and his driver had stopped to visit with her. They were going to the Pirate Parade too. Grandma Lu learned that the big horse had a big name too. It was Lochenvar, but the young girl called him Locke for short. Grandma Lu said that she had seen Clydesdales on television but never in person. It was a real treat for her. They said goodbye and were on their way.
Back at Marlee's hometown, Harper was getting ready to go to Marleewood for the very first time. She was excited to get to meet the other children. She was a bit disappointed that the grandmas weren't going to be there though. She had heard that Grandma Lu liked snacks and told stories. She liked those two things also. But she got her coat on and was ready to go. Her real grandma lived close by so she got to visit with her too.
Regan was all dressed and ready to visit Marleewood too. She even had a hat and handbag to match. She was so excited to meet new friends.
Miles had convinced his mom that he was able to stoop over and reach the bottle that he had seen in the water. He was a little disappointed. It was all dirty and full of sand and old papers. He threw it back in the water. Miles would much rather play with something better than that old bottle, that's for sure.
